Transparent labor
The split should never be a mystery.
At the $30 hourly labor minimum, at least $25 goes to the handyman and $5 goes to Ruiz Home Services. Above the minimum, labor is allocated five-sixths to the handyman and one-sixth to the platform.

A responsible service platform needs to recognize when the right answer is your super, landlord, emergency services, a licensed trade, or a specialist—not a generic handyman.

Can I book a handyman instantly?
No. Requests are reviewed before scheduling. That extra step helps catch missing scope details, building-access rules, COI needs, or work that belongs with a licensed trade or building management.
What does the $30 hourly minimum include?
It is the minimum labor rate per billable hour: at least $25 goes to the handyman and $5 to Ruiz Home Services. Materials, applicable tax, payment processing, tips, and other approved adjustments are separate from labor and should be itemized before confirmation.
Do you handle electrical, gas, or major plumbing work?
Not as ordinary handyman work. Requests involving regulated trades, permits, building systems, gas, concealed plumbing, or other high-risk work are declined or redirected to the appropriate qualified provider.
What if my building needs a COI or superintendent approval?
Include that requirement with the request. Scheduling should not proceed until the building’s access, insurance, work-hour, elevator, or superintendent requirements are understood and satisfied.
