1. Scope
This Privacy Policy explains how Ruiz Home Services (“RHS,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) handles personal information when you visit the website, create an account, submit a service request, communicate through an available channel, or use related services. A request-specific notice may add detail where needed.
2. Information we collect
Depending on how you use the service, we may collect:
- Account information: name, email address, authentication identifiers, account role, and sign-in security events.
- Request information: service address, job description, photos, measurements, product information, access instructions, building type, COI or approval requirements, scheduling preferences, and communications.
- Transaction information: quoted and charged amounts, labor allocation, payment status, refunds, disputes, processor references, and related records. Payment-card details may be collected directly by the payment processor rather than stored by RHS.
- Provider information: invitation and review status, profile details, service capabilities, required credentials or documentation, and job records where provider access exists.
- Technical information: device and browser data, IP address, approximate location derived from IP, pages visited, request identifiers, security logs, cookie or session data, and error diagnostics.
3. How we use information
We use personal information to operate and secure accounts; review, clarify, route, price, coordinate, and document service requests; process and reconcile transactions; communicate about the service; prevent fraud and abuse; maintain audit and security records; comply with law; enforce terms; and improve reliability and usability.
We should not use a photo, address, or request detail for an unrelated purpose without an appropriate legal basis or notice.
4. How information is disclosed
We may disclose information only as reasonably needed:
- to a prospective or assigned service provider so that the request can be evaluated or completed;
- to vendors that provide hosting, authentication, database, storage, communications, analytics, fraud prevention, payment processing, or support services under appropriate terms;
- to building management or another party when you direct us to coordinate a requirement;
- to comply with law, legal process, or a valid government request; protect rights, safety, and security; or investigate abuse;
- in a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, or sale, subject to applicable safeguards.
We do not treat a service address, interior photo, government identifier, or payment record as public profile content.
5. Photos, addresses, and sensitive details
Service requests can reveal where you live, what is inside your home, when you may be available, and how your building operates. Upload only what is needed. Remove visible mail, IDs, faces, access codes, valuables, children, neighbors, and unrelated rooms where possible. Do not place passwords, full payment-card numbers, authentication links, medical information, or government identifiers in request text.
6. Cookies and session technology
RHS may use cookies or similar storage that is necessary for authentication, security, preferences, and core functionality. If non-essential analytics or advertising technology is added, the site should provide any notice or choice required by applicable law before using it.
7. Retention
We retain information only as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described above, including account operation, request history, financial reconciliation, fraud prevention, dispute handling, legal obligations, and security. Different records may have different retention periods. Backups and security logs may persist for a limited period after deletion from active systems.
8. Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures intended to protect information, including access control and server-side authorization where implemented. No internet service is perfectly secure. Protect your sign-in method, use only trusted devices, and report suspected account compromise through the current contact route.
9. Your choices and requests
You may be able to review or correct certain account information in the product. Depending on applicable law, you may also request access, correction, deletion, portability, or information about processing. We may need to verify identity and retain information where law or legitimate security, transaction, or dispute needs require it.
Use the contact and routing page for the current privacy-request path. A verified direct privacy address must be published before public production collection begins.
10. Children
The service is not directed to children under 18, and children may not create accounts or submit service requests. If you believe a child provided personal information, use the current contact route.
11. Changes
We may update this policy to reflect changes in the service, law, or security practices. The “Last updated” date identifies the current version. Material changes may receive additional notice where required.
